Hello! I’m excited to share my personal fitness journey with you. My hope is that this story inspires you to know that it’s never too late to begin and that you can achieve your fitness goals without giving up the things you enjoy.

My fitness interest began in my teens when I’d do Tae Bo with Billy Blanks in my basement. In college, I tried staying active, joining a fitness center and a volleyball class, but without guidance, I mostly relied on cardio. Meanwhile, my eating habits were not the best—my go-to was fast food and sugary drinks. This worked for a while, but by my senior year, my lifestyle choices caught up with me which lead me to calorie restriction and uneducated, temporary solutions.

In 2009, after getting married, I gained “happy” weight, and my confidence took a hit. Inspired by the local running scene, I decided to train for and complete a half marathon. Running gave me a temporary solution to fit into my clothes again, but it left me unfulfilled and uncomfortable, and as I scaled back on mileage, the weight returned leaving me feeling defeated.

A friend later invited me to an all-women's boot camp which began my perspective shift on what fitness and health truly meant. I learned the power of weight training and was introduced to the power of macronutrients. I no longer feared calories; instead, I learned to fuel my body with balanced nutrition. Lifting transformed both my body and mindset. I was no longer focused on restrictive diets but on balanced, sustainable habits that worked with my life, not against it.

Over the past decade, my passion for health and fitness has only grown, and my biggest transformation has been mental. I’m confident in my skin, and the scale no longer defines me.

This journey inspired me to create KARVE Fitness Studio, a dedicated space where functional, foundational training takes center stage, helping people build strength and confidence. With KARVE, my goal is to offer an uplifting community where science-backed training and continued learning lead the way, helping clients reach their goals efficiently and effectively.

My mission is to be here for you as a guide, resource, and coach. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, gain strength, or feel more confident. I look forward to starting this journey with you!
